Yorktown

Freezing on the beach at Yorktown. Yorktown in banked by the York River.
The parade begins.
Fife and Drums.
The family....at the Yorktown Victory center..I seem to be missing from most of the pictures...guess who the photograhper is.
They had horse drawn carriages all over williamsburg.
In the Dewitt museum.
All three of the kids sitting still and acting like they like each other..this would be the one warm day....notice the short sleeves.

This is replication of a hand carved boat they would have used...they used the burn and scrape method.
Micah and Jackson on a replication of one of the 3 boats that brought the orginal british settlers in 1607.
The tower part of the church is orginal to the early 1600's and was the first churh built in Jamestown. The building attached was built on the original foundation as what a church in this time period would have looked like. It was amazing to me how 400 yrs ago the brick laying was so impressive..not much had really improved in this area in all this time.
